Looking at Cindy's and Matt's posts

Hey Guys,
Grace and I did a little collaborating and discussing yesterday. The two shots below are from dreamweaver and my browser. They are a variation on her theme. Both still lack 1. the primary logo 2. the search box and 3. content for the left and right columns. The navigation tabs are linked and work. The first draft design was closer to Grace's original concept and is shown in image #3.

Anyway, what do you guys think. We need to start merging these design concepts so that we can finish cranking out the html, dhtml, java, etc. We also need to conceptualize as a group how we want the book inventory displayed. I am assuming that Justina will tackle that but its also (most definitely) a group topic. Cindy, I was thinking along the lines of http://www.textbooks.com/HomeA.php. In fact, I started creating a .gif database of books off their site and was of the opinion that we might use a variation on their layout design. Whatever you guys want, we just need to decide. BTW, if these versions are bad, slap me down.

Beginnings for the Professor Pages

Hope you received my email with the attachments. If not, here's what I wrote:

Keying off of Graciela's Home Page (and Matt's "Contact Us" page), I have just have 3 pages drafted. I started doing the PowerPoint thing, but I am just not as proficient in PPT as I am in Excel (what can I say -- I'm a Financial person). I sent Dave an email last night to see if Excel would be OK and he affirmed.

I am attaching the PPT I started, then the Excel to which I switched. The PowerPoint has the 1st "Resources for Professors" page and the "Log In" page. The Excel has the "Registration" page, complete with drop-down boxes (Dave, see the "List" tab of the workbook for the items to be included in the drop-down). Dave, I included the Departments you mentioned in the blog, but I don't have the sub-categories. It would be simple enough to add the box and the drop-down list.
As I am looking at this image, I think the red bar across the top is too big. It looks out of proportion with the rest of the page. What do you think?

Contact Us Page

Hey y'all...I put together a contact us page. I'm not sure what else needs to be done for it because in all honesty there's not much to the contact page typically. Let me know if you have any changes, suggestions, or things I need to add.
Thanks much...
Matt
PS...I actually set up the email account just in case for some reason the prof tries to email something to it. The phone number is totally bogus though.
